As systems and networks come to the end of life, our engineers have applied their extensive experience with a variety of networks and protocols to build tools that provide a migration path for customers' evolving networks.

Since today’s complex networks have increasingly relied on IP as their communications protocol, Datatek has created a family of products to integrate mission critical applications which rely on other protocols into today’s IP framework.

One example is our DT-4280 which can be viewed as an Internet Protocol (IP) Access Device. It directly mediates any of its supported protocols (Async, HDLC, SDLC, X.25, BX.25, E2A, Bisync) to IP.

Another is our IPv4-IPv6 Transformer. Born out of a Small Business Innovation Research (SIBR) grant by the US Army, the Transformer is a powerful migration tool that will instantly enable IPv4 devices on the network edge to operate in the emerging IPv6 arena.

 

Datatek’s Hardware and Software Engineers have supported multiple systems through the complete spectrum of the systems' life cycle. Our engineers provide customer technical support for network and service providers around the world, offering immediate technical assistance, operational workarounds, and root-cause elimination through maintenance releases.

This support service draws upon problem solving skills using techniques including reverse engineering, advanced diagnostics and testing, and embedded systems debugging in both hardware and software.

Our engineers have successfully assumed responsibility for highly complex telecommunications systems. Knowledge transfer has been accomplished with or without the assistance of the previous development team.
