The DT-6160 network application processor is a high-performance applications computer that can provide connectivity among systems running differing protocols over a variety of communication media. It can act as an application specific router, embedded PC, or assume other important translation and mediation functions in your network.

The DT-6160 can support multiple protocols simultaneously, enabling communication among equipment and networks from different vendors.

HIGH AVAILABILITY

Networks have become the backbone of business applications. Network users take for granted that the network will always be available and network managers face the challenge of meeting this expectation.In addition to its already highly reliable operation, the DT-6160 is available in a redundant configuration to provide high availability for users that have a need for it.

DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS

The DT-6160 also provides detailed network management statistics, including traffic statistics, counts of messages transmitted and received, and many more. Remote echo and route tracing diagnostics help network managers isolate faults and refine network measurements.

The DT-6160 also supports and provides the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), the current standard for network management.

FLEXIBLE DESIGN

The DT-6160 provides the hardware and operating environment for application modules to run on. It provides for customer specific, custom application development along with existing application solutions and may support combinations of these applications simultaneously.
