Multi-Mode DB25 Panel (MMP)

Product Overview

The DT-9116 is a multiple physical layer adapter panel for the DT-(4216, 4232, 4180, 4280) product. It provides sixteen DB25 RS-530 interfaces, which may be configured for a multitude of physical layer protocols.

The DT-9116 supports RS-232 (V.28), EIA-530 (V.10 & V.11), EIA-530A (V.10 & V.11), V.35 (V.35 & V.28), X.21/RS-422 (V.11), RS-449 (V.10 & V.11), V.36 (V.10 & V.11), and RS-485 (un-terminated V.11) as physical layers. Selection is software controlled from the DT-(4216, 4232, 4180, 4280) console. Lead states may also be inquired under software control

Any port may be placed into loopback under software control. Therefore, no physical “test” port is provided. When the port is in loopback operation, the appropriate physical layer status lamp will blink.

The DT-9001 plugs into a single port of any DT-4XXX access product, where it derives all its necessary power. With support from the DT-6x60 OnSite application multiple DT-9001 devices may be monitored.

Operation of the port is either DTE or DCE, synchronous or asynchronous. No options are required. These parameters are automatically set by the DT-(4216, 4232, 4180, 4280).
